Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Works with students birth to age 5. An Early Childhood Special Education license issued through the Minnesota Department of Education is Preferred, but may consider a strong candidate with ABS, DCD, ASD or similar license. The selected candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and documenting student progress, developing and managing IEPs/IFSPs and facilitating IEP/IFSP team meetings in collaboration with other teachers and families.

Position Description:

Candidates selected to fill the role of High School Science Teacher at Lake of the Wood School will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long-standing commitment to academic excellence.  This will be achieved through the design and delivery of Science instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.

 

Qualifications: 

Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach students in 9th-12th grade. Classes will include Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics.

Strong general academic background.

 

Job Summary:

Teach the curriculum of Independent School District 390.

Speech Language Pathologist  

Responsible for providing speech and language therapy services directly to qualifying students based upon state and federal requirements in the areas of language, articulation, fluency and voice. Conducts speech and language assessments of student needs; interprets informal and standardized communicative measures; and participates in the development of individualized educational plans for students with eligible communicative needs.

Early Childhood Paraprofessional Opening

Lake of the Woods School has an immediate opening for an Early Childhood Paraprofessional. We seek an applicant that is energetic, patient and enjoys working with young students and staff. Must be flexible, open minded and willing to work positively with students of varying abilities and behaviors.  This position is for four days per week Monday through Thursday.

 

Role Definition:   The Early Childhood Paraprofessional performs human support work assisting students ages 3 and 4 to meet educational, communication, emotional, physical and behavioral goals, assisting classroom teachers and professional staff by working with special needs of students individually or in small groups, and related work as apparent or assigned.
