Lake of the Woods School has a full-time 7-12 Science position which is now open for the 2020/2021 school year. Lake of the Woods School is located just outside of Baudette, Minnesota on the picturesque Rainy River just miles from the world-famous Lake of the Woods. Lake of the Woods School has a state of the art facility, a progressive teaching/administrative staff, and tremendous community support.

Position Description:

Candidates selected to fill the role of High School Science Teacher at Lake of the Wood School will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long-standing commitment to academic excellence.  This will be achieved through the design and delivery of Science instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.

 

Qualifications: 

Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach students in 9th-12th grade. Classes will include Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics.

Strong general academic background.

 

Job Summary:

Teach the curriculum of Independent School District 390.

Carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract.

Carry out responsibilities as defined by the principal.

Lake of the Woods School has a full-time 7-12  Principal or Dean of Students position which is now open for the 2020/2021 school year. Candidates must possess (or be willing to obtain) a Minnesota Teaching License with a Professional Administrative K-12 Principal endorsement.

*Foster high student achievement and provide learning experiences which help all students meet or exceed state graduation standards

*Work with district personnel to implement instructional programs that support learning opportunities for students

*Coordinate the development and evaluation of curriculum

*Conduct classroom observations and evaluate effectiveness of professional staff

*Oversee development of school’s schedule and teaching assignments

*Assist and support students in exploring post-secondary options and planning

2020-2021 Speech Language Pathologist

Speech Language Pathologist  

Responsible for providing speech and language therapy services directly to qualifying students based upon state and federal requirements in the areas of language, articulation, fluency and voice. Conducts speech and language assessments of student needs; interprets informal and standardized communicative measures; and participates in the development of individualized educational plans for students with eligible communicative needs.
