POSITION: Lake of the Woods School ISD390 is seeking a student-centered and highly qualified PreK-12 Principal to begin August 1, 2026.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Lake of the Woods is a dynamic PK-12 school serving students and families in Lake of the Woods County. We are seeking an exceptional educational leader committed to fostering a collaborative, student-centered culture. This individual will work closely with staff and partners to sustain a positive, inclusive and highly effective environment where students can thrive. This position is a full-time, 220-day administrative position offering a competitive salary range with benefits package.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic leadership in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of education programming, curriculum development and instructional practices.
- Supervise and support licensed and non-licensed staff, including evaluations and professional growth.
- Administer various school education programs, including measurement and evaluation.
- Plan and direct district-wide programs
- Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment practices and data-driven decision-making.
- Manage the school’s budget.
- Maintain and strengthen safety protocols while cultivating a positive, inclusive and supportive school climate.
- Collaborate closely with the Superintendent to advance and operationalize the District’s mission, vision and strategic priorities.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with students, families, community organizations, tribal and local agencies, staff and the broader community to foster engagement, trust and shared responsibility for student success.
- Manage building operations, including scheduling, budgeting and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Lead special education processes and student support services.
- Ensure safe school practices, crisis response readiness and adherence to district policies.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Minnesota Administration License required
- Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership, curriculum and staff supervision
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Background in rural education, small-school leadership or community-centered schools

Lake of the Woods High School is seeking applicants for a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) MN Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MnMTSS) Coordinator and Special Education Testing and Support two-year position.
Description
Lake of the Woods School is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to coordinate the MnMTSS Team, and assist with Special Education Testing, documentation.
This is a 2 year TOSA position at .8FTE (.5 MnMTSS and .3 SpEd) during year one, and .55FTE (.25 MnMTSS and .3 SpEd) during year two.
- MnMTSS: Coordinate MnMTSS activities, ensure grant reporting and requirements are met, lead MnMTSS meetings
- SpEd: Special Education Testing, Coordinating and Supporting Special Education Staff, assisting with Special Education documentation
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with implementing MTSS systems preferred,
- Minnesota license for Special Education or eligibility for such licensure,
- 5 years or more educational experience preferred,
Pay & Benefits: The pay range for this position is $60,000 in year one, and $40,000 in year two. Competitive and comprehensive benefit package available:
